Cooper Citys Renovation Of The Local Community Center

There is an update regarding the Cooper City’s renovation of the local Community Center.  As stated earlier, the Community Center was all set for its renovation and on budget until when the interior demolition revealed an issue as the walls did not extend all the way to the ceiling. Commissioners voted unanimously to approve an almost $211,000 change order to implement a number of corrective measures into the center's renovations including the issue with the walls. According to the city's Public Information Officer Michelle Alvarez, the Community Center renovations should be completed by the end of July.
